In this session we will be connecting with the feel-good energy of goodwill & our innate enlightened compassion. In particular, we will be:

– Awakening different scales of compassion, from self, to other, to the world

– Using compassion as a way of becoming stronger & more resilient in the face of our own trials & tribulations

– Opening to the goodwill naturally available to us from others, ourself & our environment, using it to recharge our energy & enthusiasm for life!

More about these sessions: These 2.5 hour meditation ‘mini-retreats’ are a chance to go into much deeper meditation states than you would be able to in your own personal daily practice, or even if you came to a one hour class. Toby will guide you into deep meditation flow states that:

  • Creates the experience of a calm, unified, harmonized, resilient body, mind & heart
  • Builds particular meditation strengths & capacities
  • Will help sustain & deepen your daily meditation practice after leaving.

The retreat is broken up into two one hour sessions over the three hours, with a short break in between.

The techniques used will be acceptable to people of all religious (& secular) worldviews, & will be simple enough for beginners to participate without feeling lost or uncomfortable.

In addition to the retreat sessions you will receive:

  • Written articles & information regarding the sitting, walking & mindful movement techniques used.
  • Short MP3 recordings of the essential meditation practices used in the session to integrate in your own daily practice if you wish.

About the teacher: The session is created and facilitated by Toby Ouvry, the founder of Integral Meditation Asia, who has over 25 years of teaching meditation and mindfulness. He did his first ten years of training in meditation (back in the 1990’s) within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, & has since pursued a path on integral & engaged mindfulness & meditation.
