September & October Five Class Meditation Series: Cultivating Deep Experience of the Present Moment

Start date: September 5th/6th

We talk about meditation & mindfulness as ways of ‘being more present’, or ‘living in the present’, but what does that really mean? In this practical five series meditation class we will be going in depth into being mindful of the present in ways that will help us to be both happier and more effective in our daily lives. You will learn:

  • How to access the richness of the present moment
  • Understand and work with the different dimensions of the present moment, seeing their different uses & functions
  • Get to know and make friends with the things that make us uncomfortable in the present moment, such as anxiety & stress
  • Understand how to make better use of your time through mindfulness of the present

There will be two chances each week to attend this class series:

Tuesday, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th September, 3rd, 10th October – 7.30-8.30pm – Meditation class at Oneheart (on Tambeling road, East coast)

Wednesday, 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th September, 4th, 11th, October, 7.30-8.30pm – Meditation class at Basic Essence (Near Botanic Gardens MRT)

September 5th/6th: Class 1 – Meditating on the pre-present moment, and the present moment in time

September 12th/13th: Class 2 – Meditating on the eternal and intuitive aspects of the present moment

September 19th/20th: Autumn Equinox meditation (Separate from present moment series)

September 26th/27th Class 3 – Finding value in our resistance to the present moment

October 3rd/4th Class 4 – How to rest naturally in the present moment

October 10th/11th Class 5 – Accessing the stillness of the present through the four types of time

Cost: SGD$95 for all three classes, or $20 per individual class


About the teacher, Toby Ouvry

Toby is a mindfulness teacher and trainer, and the author of the book ‘Engaged Mindfulness – What mindfulness is and how we can apply it to our daily lives’.

He has a BA Hons degree in Fine Art from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Subsequent to his degree, Toby spent ten years doing his foundational training in meditation and mindfulness, specializing in the Tibetan Tradition which included five years as an ordained Buddhist monk….click HERE for full details of Toby
